What Is This Tool?
Delete PDF Pages removes unwanted pages from a document — blank scans, duplicate cover sheets, outdated sections — without needing to rebuild the file from scratch. Just tell it which pages to remove and download the cleaned-up result.
Everything runs on our servers over a secure connection; your files are processed, made available for download, and then automatically deleted a short time later.
Why Delete Pages From a PDF?
Not every page in a document belongs there — blank scans, duplicate cover sheets, or outdated sections can all be removed without rebuilding the whole file from scratch.
Benefits of Deleting PDF Pages
- Remove blank or unwanted pages instantly
- Keeps the rest of the document unchanged
- Delete single pages or ranges in one pass
- No desktop software needed
Who Can Use This Tool?
- Office staff cleaning up scanned documents
- Students removing blank pages from lecture notes
- Businesses trimming outdated sections from reports
- Anyone tidying up a scanned PDF before sharing it
A Few Real-World Examples
- An office assistant can remove blank pages from a 50-page scanned document before sending it to a client.
- A student can delete duplicate slides from their lecture notes PDF to save printing costs.
- A business professional can trim outdated sections from a quarterly report before sharing it with a new partner.
- A paralegal can remove a cover sheet and blank separator pages before filing a scanned exhibit.
- An HR coordinator can strip out an outdated policy page from an employee handbook before redistributing it.
Step-by-Step Guide
Upload the PDF you want to edit.
Enter the pages or ranges to remove.
Click "Delete Pages".
Download your updated PDF.
Entering Page Numbers
Use commas for single pages and hyphens for ranges: 1,3,5-7 removes pages 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7, leaving the rest of the document untouched and renumbered in order.
You cannot delete all pages — at least one page must remain in the document. If you need to keep only a few pages out of many, use Extract PDF Pages instead.
What You'll Get
The output is a new PDF containing every page from your original file except the ones you selected. Your original upload is never changed — only a new, cleaned-up copy is created for you to download.
Comparison: Delete vs. Extract
| Tool | What it does | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Delete Pages | Removes the pages you select and keeps everything else. | Cutting a few unwanted pages out of a mostly-good document. |
| Extract Pages | Creates a new PDF containing only the pages you select. | Pulling a handful of pages out of a much larger document. |
Features

Best Practices
- Always preview your document to confirm page numbers before deleting.
- Start with deleting a small range first to test the results before doing large deletions.
- If you're unsure, use the Extract Pages tool to pull only the pages you need instead.
- Double-check the downloaded result before deleting your original file.
Troubleshooting
Problem: I get an error saying I can't delete all pages
Solution: Ensure you leave at least one page in the document. If you need to keep only a few pages out of many, use Extract PDF Pages instead, which works the opposite way around.
Problem: I'm not sure which page numbers to enter
Solution: Preview the PDF in a viewer first, or use the Extract Pages tool to identify the correct page numbers before deleting.
Problem: The file won't upload
Solution: Ensure your file is under 50 MB and is a valid PDF. Try a different browser, or compress the file first with our Compress PDF tool.
