PDF to TIFF Online — Convert a PDF to a Multi-Page TIFF (Free & Secure)
Render every page of a PDF into one multi-page TIFF image at 150 or 300 DPI. LZW-compressed and lossless.
What Is This Tool?
PDF to TIFF renders each page of your PDF to an image and packs all of those images into a single multi-page TIFF file. TIFF is the format many document-management systems, fax gateways and archival workflows expect, and a multi-page TIFF keeps a whole document together in one file.
Output is compressed with LZW, which is lossless — the pixels are not degraded, unlike JPEG. Because the result is an image, text in the TIFF is no longer selectable or searchable; if you need that, keep the original PDF or use PDF to Text.
Why Convert a PDF to TIFF?
Some systems simply do not accept PDF. Records platforms, imaging systems, older fax servers and certain court e-filing portals want TIFF, often multi-page, at a fixed resolution. Converting up front means the file goes straight in without a rejection.
Where TIFF is expected
- Document-management and records systems
- Fax and scan-to-email gateways
- Long-term archival where a flat image is required
- Some legal / government e-filing systems
Who Uses It
- Legal and compliance teams filing to portals that require TIFF
- Records and archives staff standardising incoming documents
- Anyone sending a document into an older imaging system
- Print shops that prefer a flat image per page
A few real-world examples
- A paralegal converts a 40-page exhibit PDF to a 300 DPI multi-page TIFF for a court e-filing system.
- An archivist converts scanned correspondence to TIFF at 300 DPI for long-term storage.
- An office sends a contract to a fax gateway that only accepts single-file multi-page TIFF.
Step-by-Step Guide
Upload your PDF.
Choose 150 or 300 DPI.
Click "Convert to TIFF".
Download the multi-page .tiff file.
What You'll Get
One .tiff file containing every page as a frame, in order, at the resolution you chose. The result screen shows the page count and DPI. At 300 DPI, large documents can produce a big file — use 150 DPI for on-screen use.
Features
- Free, no registration, no watermark
- One multi-page TIFF, not a folder of images
- 150 DPI or 300 DPI
- Lossless LZW compression
- Up to 300 pages per file
Supported Formats
Tips
- Use 300 DPI only when the destination system requires it — files get large fast
- If your PDF has more than 300 pages, split it first with Split PDF
- Need individual images instead? Use PDF to PNG or PDF to JPG
- Some basic image viewers only show the first TIFF frame — open it in an imaging app to see all pages
Troubleshooting
Problem: My viewer only shows the first page of the TIFF
Solution: The file does contain every page as a frame. Simple photo viewers often show only frame 1 — open it in an imaging or document tool that supports multi-page TIFF.
Problem: "PDF to TIFF is limited to 300 pages per file"
Solution: Split the PDF into smaller parts with Split PDF and convert each part.
Problem: The TIFF is very large
Solution: Re-run at 150 DPI. Resolution has the biggest effect on TIFF size because every page is stored as a full raster image.
Problem: My file won't upload
Solution: Confirm it is a real PDF under 50 MB. If it is password-protected, remove the password first with Unlock PDF.
PDF to TIFF FAQ
Is PDF to TIFF free?
Yes. Converting a PDF to TIFF is completely free, with no sign-up, watermark or hidden limits beyond the 50 MB / 300-page limits shown above.
Is it one file or many?
One file. Every page is stored as a frame inside a single multi-page .tiff.
Is the conversion lossless?
The TIFF uses LZW compression, which is lossless. The rendering resolution (150 or 300 DPI) determines the level of detail captured.
Can I search the text in the TIFF?
No. The output is an image, so text is not selectable or searchable. Keep the original PDF if you need that.
What DPI should I choose?
150 DPI for screen and email, 300 DPI for print or when a records/e-filing system specifies it.
Are my files kept?
No. Your upload and the result are both deleted automatically a short time after processing.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, in any modern mobile or desktop browser — no app required.
