Remove Blank Pages scans every page of your PDF right in your browser, shows you exactly which ones look empty, and only removes the ones you confirm. It is meant for the blank pages that creep in from scanning with a sheet feeder, from "start each chapter on a right-hand page" layouts, or from exporting a document that left trailing pages behind.

Detection is visual: each page is rendered and checked for content, so it works even when a "blank" page technically contains an invisible object or a whitespace-only text layer. You choose how aggressive that check is with the detection accuracy setting, and you can always overrule what was detected before anything is removed.

How to Remove Blank Page in Google Docs

Blank pages in Google Docs almost always come from one of a handful of causes: an extra paragraph break or two sitting at the end of a section, a manual page break left behind after you deleted content, a section break that starts a new page even though nothing followed it, oversized paragraph or line spacing pushing a few lines onto their own page, a table that runs right up against the bottom margin, or margins set so tight that a small overflow spills onto a new page.

1. Turn on formatting marks: View → Show formatting marks, so you can see paragraph marks and page breaks.
2. Go to the end of your document (Ctrl/Cmd + End) and check for stray empty paragraphs after the last line of real content, then delete them with Backspace.
3. Click right before the blank page and press Backspace repeatedly to pull the following content back — this removes trailing manual page or section breaks.
4. If a table sits at the very bottom of a page, click just after it and delete any empty paragraph that got pushed onto the next page along with it.
5. Check Format → Line & paragraph spacing on the paragraphs just before the blank page; reduce "space after" if it looks unusually large.
6. Check File → Page setup for margins that are larger than the rest of your document.

How to Remove Blank Pages in Excel

Blank pages in an Excel printout or PDF export are almost always a print-area or layout issue rather than truly empty cells: a print area that extends past your actual data, a manual page break left in the wrong place, stray empty rows or columns that Excel still considers part of the used range, a scaling setting that spreads content across more pages than it needs to, or hidden rows/columns and cell formatting (like a fill color) that Excel counts as "content" even with no visible text.

1. Select your real data range, then go to Page Layout → Print Area → Set Print Area so Excel only prints what you intend.
2. Open Page Layout → Breaks → Reset All Page Breaks to clear manual breaks that may be splitting a page in an odd place.
3. Press Ctrl + End to find the last used cell; if it's far past your actual data, select and delete the extra empty rows/columns, then save the file.
4. Check Page Layout → Scale to Fit and set width/height to 1 page if a wide or tall sheet is spilling onto extra pages.
5. Unhide any hidden rows or columns (Home → Format → Hide & Unhide) and clear formatting from cells beyond your data with Edit → Clear → Clear All.
