Useful Tips

- This tool has one job: flip the order end to end. There is nothing else to configure.
- Only part of the document?
- Use Reorder PDF Pages instead to move specific pages.

- Toggle the preview between current and reversed order before confirming — nothing is applied until you do.
- Only need to move a handful of pages, not flip the whole document? Use Reorder PDF Pages instead.

PDF Reverse Page Order: How to Reverse the Order of Your PDF Pages
Still stuck? Read the questions below or contact support and we'll help.
What Is This Tool?
Reverse PDF Pages is our tool to reverse PDF page order: it builds a new PDF with the same pages in the opposite order — the last page becomes page 1, the second-to-last becomes page 2, and so on. Before you download anything, the workspace lets you preview both the current order and the reversed order side by side, so you can see exactly what you will get.
The pages themselves are copied across untouched, so text, images and links stay exactly as they were — only the order changes. The most common reason to reverse the order of PDF pages is a scanner that reads a stack from the bottom up, or a stack fed in the wrong way round, which leaves you with a document that starts at the end.
When to Use It
- Fix a document scanned back-to-front
- Rebuild the back sides of a two-pass duplex scan, which arrive in reverse order
- Put a newest-first report into oldest-first order, or the reverse
- Prepare pages for printing in the order your printer outputs them
Step-by-Step Guide
Upload your PDF.
Preview the reversed order right in your browser.
Confirm and download the reversed PDF.
Tips
- To interleave fronts and backs from two scans, reverse the backs file here, then combine both with Alternate & Mix Pages
- To reverse only some pages, use Reorder PDF Pages
- Keep the original file until you have checked the result
Troubleshooting
Problem: The first page is still the first page
Solution: Check you opened the new file, named reversed-pages.pdf, not the original.
Problem: My file will not upload
Solution: Confirm it is a real PDF under 50 MB. If it is password-protected, remove the password first with Unlock PDF.
Reverse PDF Pages FAQ
Does reversing change the pages themselves?
No. Pages are copied as they are. Only the order changes.
Can I preview the reversed order of PDF pages before downloading?
Yes. The workspace shows the pages in your file's current order, and a single click switches the view to show the reversed order you will actually receive.
Can I reverse just part of the document?
Not with this tool. Use Reorder PDF Pages to move specific pages.
Will bookmarks and links still work?
Page content and links inside a page are kept. Bookmarks may not be carried over into the new file.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Yes. Scanned pages are ordinary pages, so they are reversed like any other.
Are my files kept?
No. Your uploads and the result are deleted automatically a short time after processing.
