Duplicate a Page in a PDF Online

Need to duplicate a page in a PDF? This tool makes an exact copy of any page and puts it where you want it — right behind the original, at the start, at the end, or after a page you choose. Open the file, pick the page, press one button, and download the new PDF. There is nothing to install.

You see every page as a thumbnail first, so each copy appears in the grid, marked Copy, before you save anything. That makes it easy to copy a page in a PDF exactly the way you meant to, whether it is a form you need twice, a cover you want repeated, or a page that has to appear in several places.

Your original file is never changed. You always get a new PDF back.

How to Duplicate a Page in a PDF

1

Upload your PDF. Drag it onto the box or choose it from your device. Files can be up to 50 MB.

2

Select the page. Click the page you want to copy. Select several to copy them all at once.

3

Choose how many copies. Type a number from 1 to 100 in the How many copies box.

4

Ways to Copy a Page in a PDF

Choose where each copy goes. You can mix these in one job.

Duplicate After and Duplicate Before

Duplicate After puts the copy directly behind the page you selected, which is what most people want when they copy a page in a PDF. Duplicate Before puts it in front. Select several pages and one press copies each of them.

Copy to Start and Copy to End

Copy to Start and Copy to End gather the pages you selected and place copies at the very beginning or end of the document, in their original order. Handy for repeating a cover, a summary page or a signature page.

Duplicate All

Duplicate All puts a copy behind every page. Set How many copies to 2 and every page appears three times in a row.

Type the page numbers

In the Pages to duplicate box, type a list such as 2, 5, 7-9 and press Apply. Type every for a copy behind each page, or every 2 for every second page.

How Many Copies Can You Make?

The How many copies box takes anything from 1 to 100, and that many copies are made each time you press a duplicate button. Press more than once and different pages can have different numbers of copies.

The bottom bar keeps a running total, so you always know how long the finished file will be.

Why Duplicate a Page in a PDF?

People copy a page in a PDF for practical reasons more often than you might expect.

  • Forms and paperwork. Make extra copies of a form page that several people need to fill in.
  • Printing. Repeat a page so it prints twice, once for each side or each copy of a handout.
  • Templates. Turn one design into a set of identical pages ready to fill in.
  • Worksheets and exercises. Repeat a practice page for each student or round.
  • Cover pages and dividers. Reuse the same divider before each section.
  • Signature and approval pages. Add one page per signer.
  • Presentations and reports. Show the same page at more than one point in a document.

  • Set How many copies first if you need more than one.
  • Select several pages and press once to copy them all together.

Common Problems and Troubleshooting

My PDF is larger than the allowed file size

The limit is 50 MB per file. Try Compress PDF first, or use Extract PDF Pages to pull out just the pages you need to copy.

I copied the wrong page

Press Undo, or select the marked copy and press Remove Copy. Nothing is saved until you press the download button.

The copy is in the wrong place

Check the thumbnails: Duplicate After puts the copy behind the page, Duplicate Before puts it in front. Remove the copy and try the other button.

I need to download the new PDF again

Your download stays available for a short time on the results screen. Once the countdown ends the file is deleted, so repeat the job to get a fresh copy.

My PDF is password protected

Remove the password first with Unlock PDF, then upload the unlocked copy.

Duplicate a Page in a PDF on Mobile

The tool works in the browser on your phone or tablet, so there is no app to download.

  • Android phones: open the page in Chrome, tap Choose PDF, and pick your file.
  • iPhone and iPad: use Safari or another browser, then choose the PDF from Files or a cloud drive.
  • Tablets: the larger screen shows more thumbnails at once.

Tap the page to select it, then tap Duplicate After.

Duplicate a Page in a PDF Without Adobe Acrobat

Desktop PDF editors, Adobe Acrobat among them, can copy pages on your own computer. A browser tool covers the same simple job when you do not have one installed, are on a shared or work computer, or only need a quick edit.

Open the page, copy your pages, and download the file. There is no licence to find and no setup to complete.

How Your File Is Handled

Page thumbnails are drawn on your own device so you can arrange the job. When you press the button, your PDF is uploaded over a secure connection and the new file is built on our servers. It is then made available for download and deleted automatically after a short period.

Read our full Privacy Policy or contact us if you have questions about how files are handled.
